On Monday we spent a great deal of time playing another sort of beetle drive game, where you could add and subtract to get the number you needed to be able to collect your puzzle piece. This was far more entertaining than our other effort and also allowed for a lot more thinking and strategy to decide how best to use the two numbers on the dice.

Toby read TVHC from memory mostly and spent some time on working out the days of the week.

We had been planning on popping out in the afternoon but instead were asked to attend a meeting with my grandmother to try to get some more help for her to live in her house. The social worker asked how I managed to stay so calm with two small boys and a baby. I'm glad I appear calm sometimes!!

Tuesday was taken up with meeting friends at a play area. At one point in our drive we drive along the top of a bank and it was completely snowy up there, whereas at the bottom there had been no snow at all. We had a beautiful view over the valley below and hill opposite and the contrast between snow and no snow.
In the evening toby and his dad assembled his new lego starwars kit.

Today was our usual home ed group. Tristan is getting more and more independant and was too busy playing to come with me to the loo (usually he wants to be within sight of me).
This afternoon we have done a lot of reading and spent some time making 3 letter words with the fridge phonics game. Today's alphablocks episode saw teams of letters trying to make words, except one team had no vowels in and couldn't make any and then it showed how 'y' behaved as a vowel sometimes.
