Happy Birthday Peter

Today was Peter's birthday. We set about making a chocolate cake for his tea party. This thing was the monster of chocolate cakes and seemed to take all day, partly because I had to shop for the topping half way through.

I once worked with someone who, having worked in a sugar factory was so sick of the stuff that she was unable to eat anything containing sugar. After tasting the cake every step of the way I can sort of imagine how she must have felt. I still have yet to fancy a slice of the finished product, even though it looks delicious.

I didn't manage to light all of the candles before they started to turn themselves into flame throwers!

Toby decorated the table, I think the red peppers look strangely at home on there!
